Frequently asked questions.
Where is the work done?
I operate a fully equipped workshop situated in my home basement, providing the flexibility to manage projects at any time, seven days a week. Over the past year, significant effort has been invested in developing a comprehensive tool collection. This assortment includes a blend of traditional and antique hand tools, complemented by standard and modern power tools. The workshop environment has proven conducive to fostering both creativity and productivity, allowing for efficient and innovative project execution.
What are the goals for the future?
NY Revival aims to evolve from a solo operation to a collaborative endeavor involving multiple skilled craftspeople. Founded on the principle of preserving family heirlooms, an expanded workforce will enhance the company's ability to salvage and restore more treasured items.
Future Expansion Plans
A key aspiration is to establish a physical storefront that seamlessly integrates restoration and retail. The store will feature two distinct areas:
Transformed Treasures: A section showcasing donated or discarded items that have been transformed/repaired, offering anyone that comes through the door, the opportunity to give these items a new life.
Interactive Workshop: An in-house workshop where customers can engage with restorationists and observe the preservation process firsthand, fostering community involvement and appreciation for the craft.
Do you sell items along with restoring them?
NY Revival will soon be launching an online store, offering a curated selection of antique items. This platform will provide customers with the opportunity to acquire unique tools, household decor, and other treasures from bygone eras. Whether you're a collector, a history enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates the charm of vintage goods, our online store will be a must-visit destination.
